My Story
Hi! I'm Anissa Knight, a filmmaker, creative director, choreographer, and founder of Siren Crown Cinema and Queen City Sirens.
After retiring from the United States Air Force following a 20-year career as a Diagnostic Imaging Technologist, I chose to pursue the dream that had been quietly waiting for me all along. What began as a return to dance quickly evolved into a passion for filmmaking, where I discovered the power of telling stories through movement, emotion, and cinematic visuals.
Today, I create films, documentaries, dance visuals, and branded content that celebrate authenticity, creativity, and human connection. Whether I'm directing on set, developing choreography, or sitting behind the camera, my goal is always the same: to create work that moves people long after the credits roll.
As the founder of Queen City Sirens, I also believe in creating spaces where women feel empowered to express themselves with confidence and authenticity. Through both of my organizations, I hope to inspire others to embrace their creativity, trust their unique voice, and build something that reflects who they truly are.
My journey has taught me that it's never too late to begin again. Every project I create is rooted in purpose, driven by curiosity, and inspired by the belief that the most powerful stories are the ones told with honesty.
Welcome to my world. I'm glad you're here.
